I want to take risks too, but the problem is I don't have the money to make the risks on a concept product, and if I did have the money I may be less willing to make the risk.
We all get these great ideas sometimes but never pursued only finding out a year later someone else has produced the same idea.
Know your surroundings, Know what’s going on, Know your competitor and what they are up to could be any important aspect in developing a product because your competitor could inadvertently or advertently sink your product.
Interesting aspect of the fad effecting peoples buying habits, that’s a whole different aspect to having a good product. That’s dealing with the psychology of the buyer which sometimes can be finicky and illogical.
Southwest sounds like they have a smart plan with its "funny and friendly" motto. Flying is usually not a pleasant experience so Southwest could at least make it tolerable.

I want to work for Hallmark now, but I wonder how a company can get away with no dress code? Is there no professionalism anymore? If I was going to make a business deal with someone I would have more faith in someone that looks or appears to look successful and competent than someone with sandals and a tie-dye shirt.
I think that the easy deliberator is one of the best products that they have come up with-I’m sure it has saved many lives. Now that’s something to be proud of.

Remember Kelley's analogy of juggling bean bags? You have to find a way to pursue ideas with a low cost of failure.

I keep a list of these just for fun.

It's a matter of touchpoints. If I'm working at a desk in an office where I have no visual contact with customers, there's no reason for me to not wear jeans and a T-shirt. At my office, I'm free to dress as I please (within reason). However, if I will be meeting with a customer, I'm expected to dress appropriately (i.e. business casual).
